The River Of Life

Thomas' favorite Iranian niece wants to die just like her father: as a martyr on the battlefield. She means it. More...

Thomas' favorite Iranian niece wants to die just like her father: as a martyr on the battlefield. She means it. After twelve years of Iran, it is still a mystery for Erdbrink. What do Iranians have with suffering? In the town of Khomeinishahr the whole population is crying for ten days. They mourn the death of their Imam Hussein whose throat was cut around somewhere in 680 AD. As if it were yesterday. The shed tears could offer a solution in the nearby fairytale town of Isfahan where the famous 'River of Life' has been dry for three years. According to the Iranian taxi drivers, the mullahs drunk the water.
