On 2-2-2002 Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Máxima said their vows at the New Church in Amsterdam. This documentary looks back on their fairy-tale wedding day with images of ‘Máxima’s tear’ and the kiss on the balcony.
The Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima “tell” us the story of their life as a couple and as parents of three daughters. They do so by way of quotes from previous interviews. We see family life images, like painting Easter eggs, playing games of cards, and singing St Nicholas songs.
All this creates a personal portrait, in which subjects like their marriage, their love, the births of their children, the annual press moments, including the most recent in Lech on 18 February 2013, the fuzz surrounding their Mozambique house, and other highs and lows within the Royal Family are reviewed.
