Medea Wins in Cologne

Medea has won the prize for best fictional TV-production at the International Cologne Conference, the German based SPIEGEL TV & Film festival 2006!

Selected from over 800 international submitted series from 40 different countries, Medea was nominated as one of the ten nominees. The Dutch tv-series made by late filmer Theo Van Gogh beat numerous other highly acclaimed international tv-series such as the American series Prison Break produced by FOX and My Name Is Earl from NBC. As well as BBC’s Hyperdrive and The Commission from Sweden.

Previous winners of the award include E.R. and The Sopranos. The award ceremony WAS held on May 22nd at the Cinedom in Köln, Germany.
