Thessaloniki International DocMarket

A selection of our newest programs will be available for screening in the video library during the Thessaloniki International DocMarket (15-21 March 2015).  Among the submitted movies are; Backlight: Arctic Promises, Dusty Bin Dreams, Killer Slope, Plaza Man and Storming Paradise.

Giovanni and his Water Ballet on Festival tour

After winning the Dutch Cultural Mediafund Kids&Docs Award 2014 at the IDFA, the short youth documentary Giovanni and the Waterballet (Astrid Bussink) hasn’t gone unnoticed. The film has been selected by The Youth Festival Antwerp/ Bruges (February), International Filmfestival Berlin in the category Short Films Generation Kplus (February), the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (March) and the Tel Aviv International Children’s Film Festival (July).

Prix Europa award for series Ramses

The drama series Ramses (director: Michiel van Erp producer: AVROTROS & De Familie Film & TV) has won the Prix Europa for Best European TV Fiction Min-Series!
This year the series was also awarded with a Zilveren Nipkowschijf 2014.

Winners Cinekid Awards

The winners of the Cinekid Awards have been revealed. Anything goes (director: Steven Wouterlood producer: VPRO Television and BIND) (nominated for an Emmy Award) has been awarded with the Cinekid Kinderkast Fiction Jury Award.
And the series Tough Cookies (directors: Sarah Sylbing, Eef Hilgers, Daan Bol, Charlotte Hoogakker, Ester Gould, Martijn Blekendaal en Ellen Vloet producer: VPRO Television & IDTV Docs ) won the Cinekid Kinderkast Non-Fiction Jury Award.
