In this entertaining series 'From Moscow to Magadan' author and host Jelle Brandt Corstius travels around modern Russia and its satellite states in a quest for authentic and interesting stories that dominate the lives of ordinary Russians today.

Each self-containing episode explores themes as 'the recent past' (about the gulags and the increasing popularity of Stalin today), 'the near future' (about the economy solely depending on natural gas and oil, and the 15000 towns and 15000 villages deserted by the population) and 'Violence in the Causasus' dealing with state terrorism against Muslims and local habits as 'kidnapping you fiancé'.
