| Andala, Maria, Nick and Dong Bing live in four different continents, but they all have one thing in common: they have decided to start a new life in the big city. For six months, the four newcomers are followed by our local Metropolis video correspondents. Each newcomer has his or her own dream: Nick, the Sunday's child, comes to New York to make it there as an actor on Broadway; Maria fled the Colombian interior to find a safe place for her two kids in the capital Bogotá. Each newcomer also has a personal strategy: Dong Bing is very choosy when it comes to finding a job in Shanghai, but Andala takes on any work he can get in the Zambian capital Lusaka. Four newcomers; who will make it and who will fail? And how far will they go to become part of this great new world? |
